Schooling                                     [Print Version[PDF]

To allow for growth and ongoing progress within our community, we offer schooling for those who want to develop skills and abilities, for a way of life in a community of human beings, working together. The student undergoes an individual training, which he/she co-designs and co-creates, and during which he/she can take on increasing shared responsibilities while acquiring knowledge and spiritual, social, economical and professional abilities.

The student participates in the everyday life and work, which he enhances and helps to transform through self-development or professional skills.

The schooling always happens with the support of a responsible member of the community and a person in need of special care, contributes his equal share to the schooling.

The nature of the schooling, its path and its fields of studies are determined by the situation and the questions of the student.

The further steps, during the schooling, are elaborated anew through the close interaction between the student, the college member and the handicapped person.

The schooling ends, when a joint decision is reached about the next steps in the life of the student: e.g. taking up full responsibility in the community, a new task in life, or another profession altogether. The schooling can start at anytime, at any age.

How to develop inner and outer abilities in practical life through a spiritual schooling? What training and abilities in the legal and economic fields are necessary for new social and humane living conditions? These questions give the foundation and inspire the direction of the schooling of each individual student.

The following questions, for example, could be pursued in the schooling:

  • Which decision-making forms and processes allow anyone to carry out an initiative in the common and conscious knowledge of all concerned?
  • Which social forms exist for the matter of a task rather than for individual claims to the proceeds of work done?
  • Which personal abilities and social forms are required to overcome the strive for personal gain?
  • Can Anthroposophy provide answers to my personal questions and the riddles of our time?
  • How can art be integrated into social life?
  • Which social forms allow the weakest people to be carried by others and involved in tasks instead of being rejected?

A brochure with further information is available upon request.

An orientation time in the “Lebensgemeinschaft”

A period of orientation, the duration of which is agreed upon individually, is offered and possible at any location of the community.
